Keynote: Bridging Traditional Capital Markets with Digital Assets – DeFi Technologies & Valour
Andrew Forson, President, DeFi Technologies
The keynote explored how decentralized finance is making digital assets easier for everyday investors to access, from programmable money to near-instant atomic settlement. It argued that the line between digital and traditional assets will blur as efficiency wins out, and showed how DeFi Technologies and Valour bridge the two worlds through regulated products.
Presentation: DeFi Technologies Valour Investment Opportunity Index (DVIO)
Andrea Disarò, Structured Products & Quantitative Analysis, DeFi Technologies
Disarò addressed why digital asset data falls short: benchmarks are backward-looking or speculative, and fragmented markets obscure how capital is positioned. It introduced the DVIO Index, a rules-based, weekly-rebalanced view of the top 50 Valour assets by AUM, adjusted for flow momentum, to reveal capital positioning and conviction.
Panel: Why Indices Matter Now for Digital Assets
Andrea Disarò (DeFi Technologies), Andrew Forson (DeFi Technologies), Fiona Boal (S&P Dow Jones Indices), moderated by Lorna Hutchman (Penrose Partners)
The panel explored what traditional indexing can teach digital assets: clear index objectives, strong governance, and rules-based methodology, balancing relevance with investability. Panellists discussed the challenges of 24/7 markets, price transparency and custody, and how indices can help portfolio managers track signals and understand capital allocation in digital assets.
Keynote: From Innovation to Confidence: What Decision Makers Need to Know – S&P Global
Lynn Maxwell, Head of Strategic Client Engagement at S&P Global
The session positioned digital assets as an increasingly central part of financial markets and made the case that DeFi could make those markets more efficient, secure, and resilient. It stressed that innovation on its own does not build confidence, and that decision makers also need transparency and the right tools to assess risk.
